I was born in Ardabil, Iran, on November 20, 1950. I received the B.Sc. degree from Tehran university, Tehran, Iran, in 1975 and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in plasma physics from the university of Poona, Pune India, in 1980 and 1983 respectively.

I am Currently a Professor in Plasma Physics Research Center, Science and Research Branch, I.A.U, Tehran.

my research interests are Fusion research and plasma diagnostics in tokamaks.
